Due to the correct ratio of estrogens in the body, it is possible to maintain a clear mind and a solid memory, as well as keep the body in optimal shape. The most striking sign that negative processes are taking place in the body is pain. Women often experience abdominal pain, which should be paid close attention. Their source is endometriosis, a disease that is often diagnosed by modern doctors. Endometriosis is a benign disease that can cause severe headaches and a reduced quality of life. At the same time, this disease does not belong to the oncological group.

Stages of development of the disease

The development of the disease occurs in the cells of the endometrium, which appear in atypical places, for example, the fallopian tubes, kidneys, bladder. When such cells take root, they begin to work in accordance with the menstrual cycle. In the first half of the cycle, accelerated growth of these cells occurs, and in the second, their rejection begins, which causes new foci.

As a result, endometriosis is not able to spread in case of pregnancy, menopause and other reasons for the absence of menstruation. In all other cases, the disease progresses, the focus increases in size and the cells begin to grow into organs and tissues. Also, new cells can affect nerve endings. Because they are benign, endometriosis can lead to the following problems:

  • the appearance of adhesions and damage to the ovaries with the growth of foci, which reduces the number of available eggs;
  • causes severe pain during menstruation, which are observed cyclically;
  • there is a change in the menstrual cycle, which leads to the appearance of spotting before and after menstruation.

Due to irregularities in the menstrual cycle, it becomes shorter or loses its regularity. In the modern world, endometriosis occurs in every tenth woman who is in reproductive age. In Ukraine, the disease remains among the most common inflammatory processes diagnosed in women.

It is possible to reduce the risk of this disease by changing one’s own attitude towards the disease. The key to success is correct and timely diagnosis. For the same reason, mothers need to be attentive to the menstrual cycle of their daughters, monitoring its regularity and the absence of pain. Girls should also carefully monitor their own hormonal levels, avoiding inflammatory processes and preventing pregnancy termination.

The complexity of endometriosis lies in the fact that it can affect various organs, from the bladder to the intestines. The disease can develop, manifesting itself with various symptoms. Often, endometriosis is disguised as cystitis, inflammation of the appendages, or appendicitis.

If a girl cannot get rid of chronic cystitis, then it’s time to think about the diagnosis of endometriosis. Pain during menstruation in 2 out of 3 cases is associated with endometriosis. The occurrence of pain in the lower abdomen suggests the immediate passage of ultrasound diagnostics. An expert ultrasound examination should be carried out annually, starting from the age of 20.

Supporting the health of the endocrine system is at the heart of disease prevention. If endometriosis was confirmed during the examination, then you should not rush into the operation. It is better to consult with a reproductive specialist, which will allow you to assess the ovarian reserve. We are talking about the reserve of eggs that a woman has.

Endometriosis develops exclusively from healthy ovarian tissue, so its appearance leads to an instant decrease in the supply of eggs. After the laparoscopy, even if the surgeon turns out to be a real virtuoso, the supply of eggs will decrease even more. In situations where the treatment of the disease is possible only with the use of surgical intervention, it is necessary to save a certain number of oocytes in advance, and only then proceed to laparoscopy. A successful fight against endometriosis helps girls maintain their health and reproductive function.
